Tentpole Show

Hey everybody, it's time for the WFMU Annual Pledge Drive. Even if you never listen to the station you should go to www.wfmu.org and give them some money. They are worth it! Even better than Clearchannel. It seems like they are having a little trouble coming up with the cash this year. Last year they ended up several thousand dollars above their goal, but I suspect that they will not make it this year. Last night was the Best Show on WFMU's second go-around, where the members of Yo La Tengo play any song for a $100 donation. Although The Best Show is considered a "tent pole" show, it seemed a little short on pledges. How can a tent stay up if the pole doesn't have enough money?
