Second Day

Various screaming babies had me up pretty early today, so I was able to but in a full day on this picture. The cool thing about egg tempera is that it is pretty limited in what it can do, and you have to sort of plug away at it. It is also fairly workable, at least in the initial stages and it dries quickly, so non-systematic people like me can move from area to area in the painting without worrying about smudging up still-wet areas of the painting.
