Fletus et Stridor Dentium
The phrase "Wailing and gnashing of teeth" appears eight times in the New Testament. Seven of those are in Matthew. Dr. May, my old Greek professor used to love this phrase in Latin. He would take great pleasure in saying it, and kind of grit his teeth at the end of "dentiummmm..." ending up in a grimacey smile.
Notice that the Latin for "gnashing" is "stridor." Blake points out that there is a long-lasting chewing gum called "Stride." What kind of a sick joke is this? Also, what is going on in this image from the Stride Gum website?
