iPod Update
So I went to the Apple Store, and they gave me an new Shuffle, but it behaves exactly as a described earlier. Very frustrating. It seems to have something to do with podcasts, but I am not sure. Somewhere I read that selecting Enable Disk Use solves the problem. I did that and it seems to be working. Very bad.

so your hard drive based one gave up? I had that happen a few times. Like five.
