Beneath the 12 Mile Reef

Back in the Speedboat days I saw a funny movie about some Greek sponge divers. One of the themes of the film was the tensions between the Greeks and the Conchs (pronounced "konks") over territory and national pride and all that stuff. At one point Tony Petrakis, the main Greek character (played by Robert Wagner, not Tony Curtis as John Pucci would have you believe) yells "Giff us back our spoanches! You Konks!" Or so I remember. Beneath the 12 Mile Reef was on television late night the other day. I tried to watch it but fell asleep before I heard that famous line.
