This American Life had an interesting show this week about the "ground war" in Pennsylvania, and how McCain is pouring all his resources into that state, despite the fact that he is trailing Obama by more than ten points there. A little mathematics shows that if his effort were to succeed AND he somehow recoups four other states where he is currently behind, he STILL loses.
