Eggplant with Yogurt

I don't remember where this came from. Probably the Dining In/Dining Out section of the paper. The idea was to kind of float the eggplant on some garlicky yogurt, as I recall. I think it was basically an Iranian dish (Boranie Bademjan) hoozhed up for the squares. It was good.

update: I think this buranee banjan recipe was the inspiration. It's from Afghanistan, so I was only one country off.
